A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of spam, but this problem can be solved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also important to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward inbound messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be pretty easy if you’ve got a cloud web hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our powerful, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer the web hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you have created shown in alphabetical order and on the right side of each one there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly tell you whether a certain mailbox stores all the messages associated with a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you want. In case there’s enabled email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll get a warning from our system. The latter will not replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
